They’re getting the best of both worlds! Beloved Bachelor Nation stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham announced the sexes of their twins on Tuesday.

“Alessi is getting a baby BROTHER & a baby SISTER,” Lauren wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of the parents and their 19-month-old daughter holding pink and blue balloons. “We couldn’t be more excited!”

In his own post, the former Bachelor expressed his excitement at welcoming a son and a daughter (who are expected to arrive in June). “BOY! GIRL! How did we get so lucky @laurenluyendyk?!” he enthused. “So excited to meet the @luyendyktwins.”

Last month, Lauren shared in an Instagram Story Q&A that her doctors “believe” her twins are fraternal. She also revealed that her first trimester had been “intense.”

“I was sick with Alessi 8-12 weeks, but nothing like what it’s been this time. I was nauseous starting at six weeks and still am every day now,” she wrote at the time. “I take unisom and B6 every night for it, but I think it wears off around 3 p.m. [because] that’s when I start to feel sick again most days. I am also turned off by most foods, so I’ve tried forcing myself to eat stuff to make the nausea go away (don’t recommend lol).”

Now, as she’s moved further along into her pregnancy, Lauren’s symptoms have become “less intense,” she said. While the future mom of three still experiences migraine headaches “every afternoon [and] night,” she joked that they are “worth it” as she is thrilled to expand her brood with two bundles of joy. (In December, Lauren shared that she was pregnant again after she and Arie suffered a devastating miscarriage in May 2020.)

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based couple — who fell in love with each other during Season 22 of “The Bachelor” in 2018 and recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary — revealed the sexes of their twins just days after Arie wrote them a touching letter.

“This week you’re each the size of an avocado and we read that you’ll be able to start hearing us soon!” the race car driver-turned-real estate developer gushed in part via Instagram. “I’ll make sure to talk to you often and fill you in on what’s happening out here, every day is an adventure let me tell you.”
