Caila Quinn Begins Writing Wedding Vows to Fiancé Nick Burrello Ahead of May Ceremony
The sound of wedding bells is getting louder! Caila Quinn revealed on Thursday that she is in the beginning stages of writing her vows to fiancé Nick Burrello ahead of their May ceremony.
However, in a series of video clips on her Instagram Story, the Bachelor Nation star couldn’t help but laugh at herself as she found herself dreaming of the potential promises Nick might make on their special day.
“You know what’s funny? I’m starting to write my vows and it’s easier for me to come up with things that I want him to promise me than things I want to promise him,” she said with a giggle. “That’s so bad!”
Caila then got more specific. “I want him to promise me to take the boxes out when we have a pile of recycling, you know? There are so many things where I’m like, ‘You know what, he should definitely promise me that,’” she said.
“Maybe I just sound crazy, but I’ve been reading different funny vows on Pinterest and some of them are really cute. Like, ‘I promise to stand up and get the remote even though I’m not the one who put it all the way across the room or really far away,’” the lifestyle blogger continued. “And another one is, ‘I promise to not drink the last sip of water even when I’m really, really thirsty.’”
Caila joked that the latter vow could apply to her relationship with Nick: “The funny thing is that happens all the time with Nick and I because he always gets a glass of water for his bedside table before bed and I never do.”
Caila and Nick — who celebrated their “engagement-versary” on January 4 — have hit a few bumps on their road to becoming husband and wife. The couple had big plans for their wedding day until the coronavirus pandemic forced them to readjust. They initially planned on having two ceremonies in May 2021 — one in her home state of Ohio with 200 family members and friends, and a smaller, more “intimate” ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, with 60 people.
In October, Caila posted on her blog that she and Nick decided to cancel their nuptials. She later told “The Knot” that they are keeping their original date of May 29, but will exchange vows in Sarasota, Florida, instead.
On Friday, Caila responded to a follower who asked if she and Nick were still moving forward with their spring ceremony even as COVID-19 cases continue to increase across the country.
“For Nick and I, we just want to get married at this point. Even though our wedding ceremony and reception venues are both outside, at this moment they have a cap of 100 guests due to COVID,” she wrote.
“We consult with our wedding planner [NK Productions] all of the time and she eases our worries. But it is important to manage your expectations,” Caila added. “We are praying that the vaccine rolls out as quickly as possible and that more people can safely gather leading to that guest count to go up.”
The gorgeous “Bachelor” alum — who began dating Nick in 2017 — noted that she is thrilled to marry the businessman this spring despite the current health crisis.
“No matter what, we are excited to move forward with our May 2021 wedding and are just feeling grateful to at least have 100 loved ones present — even with masks!” she concluded. “Life is too short as it is. I’m not going to wait on everything to be perfect.”
