Baring it all for the Bachelor! This week marks nine years since Courtney Robertson asked Ben Flajnik to strip down with her during a nighttime trip to the beach on Season 16 of “The Bachelor.”

“I feel so lucky that we are on the beach alone with no one else around. It’s not every day that you’re in Puerto Rico with a guy that you like and — especially in this situation — get the time to do exactly what I’ve been wanting to do this whole time I’ve been here,” the polarizing contestant said in a confessional at the time.

“He’s so cute!” she added of the handsome lead. “No wonder I was trying to get naked.”

As Bachelor Nation will recall, Ben gladly accepted Courtney’s invitation — and it wasn’t long before the couple jumped into the Puerto Rican ocean in nothing but their birthday suits.

“Should I take my robe off? I’m not a sexy vixen or anything,” Courtney said in a demure voice, to which Ben replied with a smile, “We’re really going for this, aren’t we?"

Running alongside Courtney toward the moonlit waves, he added excitedly, “I can’t believe we’re doing this!”

Later, Courtney expressed concern — albeit a very minimal amount — that her midnight rendezvous with Ben might infuriate her castmates. “I’m scared that the girls, when they find out, will hate me forever and ever and ever,” she told the camera. “But that’s not what I’m here for. They’ll live.”

Courtney casually brought up skinny-dipping with the other women in a seeming effort to find out how they might feel about her secretly spending alone time with Ben.

“I like to be in my birthday suit as much as possible. Like, I wish we could go skinny-dipping. It’s all the senses at once, especially when you’re with somebody that you really enjoy. I’m kind of a skinny-dipping enthusiast,” she said, noting that her ideal skinny-dipping scenario would be in “Puerto Rico basking in the full moonlight.”

In another confessional, Courtney explained, “I feel a little bit bad keeping secrets from people, but let’s be honest, I don’t feel that bad.”

According to the model-turned-Realtor, her nude experience with Ben took their romance to another level. “Ben and I have an amazing connection,” she said. “These girls just don’t stand a chance.”

Ben eventually proposed to Courtney at the end of his run as the Bachelor. Though the duo split while Season 16 was airing, they reunited before breaking up for good in October 2012. These days, Ben appears to be single, while Courtney welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Joaquin, with husband Humberto Preciado in June 2020.
