'Click Bait': Ben Higgins Reveals When He Knew Fiancée Jessica Clarke Was 'The One'
So in love! Ben Higgins stopped by “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” to chat with co-hosts Tayshia Adams, Joe Amabile, and Natasha Parker about his thriving romance with fiancée Jessica Clarke.
During his interview, the former Bachelor explained how he knew the gorgeous skin care influencer — whom he proposed to in March 2020 after two years of dating — was “The One.”

It was pretty early. I direct-messaged her,” Ben said of how he first connected with Jessica, who lived in Nashville, Tennessee, before relocating to Colorado in 2020. (The pair recently purchased a home together outside of Denver.)
“She flew up to Denver, and then I had my restaurant opening,” continued the co-owner of Ash’Kara, an Israeli eatery. “She came through the front door [of my house] and we had been talking for, like, three weeks via FaceTime and phone. I was like, ‘How am I going to say hi to her? This is awkward.’”
Despite his nerves, Ben said that he and Jessica shared their first kiss just moments after meeting in person. “I walked up and kissed her. I kissed her and then we sat on the couch. I know, it was a very aggressive move. She had a joke that she was going to tell me,” he recounted, before adding with a laugh: “And I totally ruined it! It was great.”

“I recognized how much she wanted me to be the best version of myself,” Ben said. “She didn’t want to take away the good parts of me, the things that made me feel like me. She wanted to enhance those things. She was curious about those things. And she was curious about those things so she could learn them so she could support them.”
He added, “And once you have that partner who wants to support you, who’s curious about you, who loves you, who you just have this peace and trust within, who you recognize that your life is more beautiful with them than without them — the question that you have to ask is, ‘Why not? What else are you looking for?’”
