So Sweet! Kit Keenan Teaches Bachelor Nation How to Make Festive 'V-Day Rice Krispies'
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Kit Keenan headed over to Instagram on Wednesday to teach Bachelor Nation how to make her delicious and festive “v-day rice krispies.”
The “Bachelor” Season 25 star — who enjoyed a cooking-themed date with Matt James during the show’s February 1 episode — posted a video clip of her colorful snack, set to the tune of Ariana Grande’s hit song “Just Like Magic.”
According to Kit, all you need to make the sweet treat is 1.5 cups of marshmallows, 1 cup of cereal, 2 tablespoons of butter or ghee, and traditional heart-shaped conversation candies. She then listed five simple instructions:
1. Bring small pot to a low simmer.
2. Add in butter and melt down.
3. Stir in marshmallows until melted.
4. Add in cereal and stir together.
5. Pour mixture onto baking sheet in clumps. Optionally, add in heart candy. Let set in the fridge.
It makes sense that Kit would begin sharing recipes on social media. After her culinary one-on-one with Matt aired on “The Bachelor,” the glamorous New York City native expressed her love for spending time in the kitchen during a “Bachelor Happy Hour” interview with co-hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin.
“People think that my life is like ‘Gossip Girl,’” said Kit, whose mother is renowned designer Cynthia Rowley. “I’ve gotten the Blair Waldorf thing and I’ve kind of played into it a little bit. But it’s not like I’m going to fashion shows every day. That’s part of my life. The glamorous things, yes, I’ve been able to experience a lot of that. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not down to cook dinner at home.”
The style scion added, “I’m very much an introvert. If I’m not out to events or whatever, I love being at home. I love hanging out in my sweatpants. It’s something that you would only see if you’re one of my friends or someone I’m dating.”
