Pregnant Lauren Bushnell Has a Name Picked Out for Her Son, Reveals Names That Almost Made the Cut
Playing the name game! Lauren Bushnell — who is pregnant and expecting a baby boy with husband Chris Lane — headed over to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she and the country singer have already chosen a name for their little one.
“I think so?!” Lauren wrote on her Story in response to the following fan query: “Do you have a name picked out for baby Lane?”
The Bachelor Nation star elaborated, “I feel like I could be the type that changes my mind once we meet him but for now yes. Will share eventually but want to make sure that’s actually the name!”
In another slide, Lauren listed several names that almost made the cut. “Baby names you like but aren’t using?” a fan asked, to which the future mom replied, “Miller, Ford, Hayes, Wesley, Rhett.”
Lauren also shared that she has a name selected for a baby girl should she and Chris add a daughter to their brood one day. “I have one name I’ve known I’ll use for a few years,” she wrote. “Chris comes from a family of all boys so v unsure if we will ever have a girl.”
Elsewhere, Lauren divulged what makes her “most excited” and “most nervous” about welcoming her son, who is due around “the beginning of June.”
“Excited to meet him and hold him,” she gushed. “Excited to see Chris as a dad. Nervous for everything but most nervous about making sure he’s safe every second of the day.”
The blonde beauty — who married Chris in a gorgeous Nashville ceremony in October 2019 — announced her pregnancy back in December.
Speaking with Radio.com later that month, Chris expressed his enthusiasm at becoming a first-time father — and admitted that he had quietly been wishing for a boy prior to finding out the baby’s sex.
“My parents are obviously very happy. They already have one grandbaby, who is 9 years old, that my twin brother had,” the musician said at the time. “We’re gonna find out [the sex]. We don’t have too much longer. My mom, she’s hoping for a girl. I’m secretly hoping for a boy.”
