Shiann Lewis Takes Bachelor Nation Insider Her Inspiring Fitness Journey
You go, girl! Shiann Lewis headed over to Instagram on Friday to shed light on the progress she has made over the past two years in her fitness journey.
“This is your reminder to NOT GIVE UP! This is for when you lose motivation in your fitness journey to KEEP GOING. It is exactly that- A JOURNEY,” she wrote. “It’s definitely not perfect. It takes time, dedication, support, motivation and GRACE. You’ve got to give yourself grace.”
The “Bachelor” alum — who competed for Peter Weber’s heart on Season 24 in 2020 — accompanied her caption with a slideshow of before-and-after photos, highlighting the physical accomplishments she’s made since 2019.
Recounting the evolution of her relationship with diet and exercise, Shiann emphasized that her “beginning photo was not bad.”
The Las Vegas resident continued, “Both who I was then and who I am now are beautiful and strong. It was just a time in my life where I decided I wanted to take charge of my health- mentally & physically.”
Shiann went on to say that she has “fallen off” the wagon at times. “[I] have gotten discouraged but I kept my goals at the forefront of everything. When I fell off, I got back on,” she elaborated. “I took it day by day and still take it day by day!”
While she doesn’t always “eat clean,” the Bachelor Nation star makes an effort to “eat consciously” — and frequently gives in to cravings. “If I want dessert- I GET DESSERT. Listen to your body and don’t deprive yourself of the foods that bring you joy,” she wrote.
Shiann concluded her post by saying that her commitment to fitness and balanced nutrition wasn’t made in the pursuit of a “perfect body.”
“The gym is not only a place for me to get my body moving (since I work a typical 8-5 office job staring at a computer) but also a place for me to clear my head, let go of the stress of the day and boost my endorphins. I’m not working to impress anyone,” she explained. “I don’t have an end goal. I don’t have an image of my ‘perfect body.’”
She added, “The goal is to take care of your body and to feel and be your best for yourself in this life. So if you feel discouraged or don’t believe that you can do it- Know that I believe in you & that you can 100% do it. Don’t give up on yourself, you’ve got this.”
