Bachelor Nation Couple JoJo Fletcher & Jordan Rodgers to Host TBS Dating Competition Series 'The Big D'
A return to reality… TV, that is! On Tuesday, TBS announced a new dating competition series titled “The Big D” — and it will be hosted by none other than beloved Bachelor Nation couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers!
The televised social experiment (from the creators of “Are You the One?” and “Dating Naked”) takes on the relationship space with a twist, following recent divorcees as they search for romance in paradise with one catch — their exes will be along for the ride.
Over the course of weeks, 10 divorced couples will move into a Costa Rica villa together, during which they will relearn how to date while looking for love with other contestants in the house.
Their journey will involve revelatory “EX-ercises” created to foster connections between singles, help them make peace with their former partners, and, ultimately, reignite their love lives. Each episode, one person who isn’t deemed “relationship material” will be sent home.
JoJo and Jordan — who met and fell in love with each other on “The Bachelorette” Season 12 in 2016 — are no strangers to courting on-camera. The pair will offer their expertise and guidance as they assist divorcees in their dating endeavors.
“After a year full of challenges, the opportunity to join forces with TBS and help people find love was a no-brainer,” JoJo and Jordan said in a joint statement. “We’re excited to go on this adventure in paradise with romantic hopefuls as they step out of their comfort zones and face unconventional dating scenarios in hopes of finding new love.”
Corie Henson, EVP, head of Unscripted for TNT, TBS, and truTV, added, “Dating is terrifying. Dating alongside your ex while living in the same house could be paralyzing or could help reignite an old flame. ‘The Big D’ has all of the elements of a great relationship series with a bit of a twist. I can’t wait to see what happens.”
“The Big D” is produced by Lighthearted Entertainment with Rob LaPlante, Jeff Spangler, and Kevin Lee serving as executive producers. A premiere date has yet to be announced.
