'Click Bait': Abigail Heringer Shares Her Thoughts on Hitting the Beaches of 'Bachelor in Paradise'
Abigail Heringer stopped by “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” and opened up to co-hosts Tayshia Adams, Joe Amabile, and Natasha Parker about the possibility of joining the next season of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
“Right now, I haven’t really decided,” said the beloved “Bachelor” Season 25 star, who Matt James sent home just before Hometown Dates.
“I’m open to anything,” Abigail continued. “But at the same time, I think the first time through was really exhausting — just the entire process and how much had to go into it. I would definitely have to give it a lot of thought. But I’ll stay open-minded about it.”
Natasha encouraged Abigail to give love another shot on the beaches of “Paradise,” saying, “If you went to ‘Paradise,’ I definitely think that there would be a few men fighting over you.”
Elsewhere, Abigail pressed Tayshia and Joe about their experiences on the summer spin-off show.
“How different is ‘Paradise’ from a regular season?” the New York City resident asked. “Because with a regular season, there’s the date cards and you have to wait and you get a certain amount of time with the person. But on ‘Paradise,’ you’re obviously mingling more and not really following that tight of a schedule. Would you say that it’s a lot different? Did you enjoy it more? Would you recommend going? What are your thoughts?”
For his part, Joe told Abigail that he believes she could find her person in “Paradise.”
“What I do know is that you are with the person that you are interested in the entire time — so you are spending a lot of hours with them,” said the charismatic grocer, who appeared on Season 5 in 2018. “You have no connection to the outside world. So, in my opinion, you really get to know somebody in a shorter period of time because you’re with them so much and there’s nothing to do. You’re on a beach. You ask questions because you get bored, so you learn about somebody and I think you can really vibe with somebody in ‘Paradise.’”
Joe — who found love on the show with Kendall Long, though they ultimately called it quits in 2020 — added, “For me, it was a better experience. It worked for me. I had a relationship for over a year after ‘Paradise.’”
Tayshia then chimed in with her own piece of wisdom. As fans will recall, the Season 16 Bachelorette — who is engaged to her final rose recipient, Zac Clark — starred on “Paradise” Season 6 in 2019.
“[Joe] just gave it to you wrapped up in sugar and gave you a really tasty pastry. And I’m gonna tell you something right now — other people like to eat your pastries, OK?” she explained. “You could be talking to somebody and you could be really into them and, next thing you know, someone comes down the stairs and is also interested in your person. So, you have to be really ready for someone to come at your person quite often.”
However, Tayshia told Abigail that the challenges of “Paradise” are worth it. “But it is so much fun,” she clarified. “You’re with all of your best girlfriends, there are guys galore. It’s so fun and you’re in Mexico on the beach and in the sun. How can you complain?”
Still, Abigail didn’t seem completely sold on the idea. “I’m definitely a girls’ girl,” she said. “I have my friendships with the girls, so then to go on the beach and try to date the same guys again, it’s a little intimidating for sure.”
