Lesley Murphy Takes Bachelor Nation Inside Daughter Nora's Nursery and Shares Design Tips
Lesley Murphy headed over to Instagram on Thursday to give Bachelor Nation a glimpse inside her newborn daughter Nora’s nursery.
The Bachelor Nation star — who welcomed her baby girl with fiancé Alex Kavanagh on February 12 — gave a video tour of the chic room inside her family’s home in Little Rock, Arkansas. As seen in the clip, Nora’s digs include a pink changing station, fun artwork, cozy furniture, and koala-printed wallpaper (a nod to her father’s Australian roots).
Lesley also shared her top tips for designing an infant’s room. “Pick a theme and color palette! I stuck with ‘Wild & Whimsical’ and this made it more manageable to choose pieces,” wrote the “Road Les Traveled” blogger, who chose gray, pink, and white.
“Start with the most important stuff: crib, changing table, glider, dresser,” the franchise alum then suggested.
“Then work on the accessories,” she added in conclusion. “Art, lighting, rugs, pillows, wallpaper...this is the fun part!”
Lesley’s informative post comes weeks after she opened up exclusively to BachelorNation.com about first-time motherhood.
“Seeing Nora smile, seeing her happy, just fuels me. It is the best. And then on the flipside of that, seeing her fussy and seeing her crying kills me,” she explained. “I don’t know what’s wrong and, of course, you can’t ask a baby what’s wrong and so that is on the other side of the spectrum. The emotions are just a full-blown roller coaster.”
Lesley elaborated, “It’s a surrender of your old life. I always knew parenthood would be completely impossible to prepare yourself for. It’s overnight that your life changes. It’s beautiful and amazing and exhausting and really freaking hard. It’s so many emotions wrapped up in one.”
