Lauren Burnham — who is pregnant and expecting twins with husband Arie Luyendyk Jr. — opened up about carrying two bundles of joy at the same time in a new YouTube video.

From her emotional state to fetal movements to sex, no topics were off-limits as the stunning Bachelor Nation star fielded fan queries during a candid Q&A.

“Emotionally, I was in a different place in my last pregnancy,” said Lauren, who already shares daughter Alessi, 22 months, with Arie. “I was very excited about our future and getting married and buying our first house. Very low-stress situation in the beginning when we didn’t have kids yet. We were just like, ‘Oh, this is such a magical time and everything is great. No stresses.’ It was very positive, and I don’t feel like I was ever really on an emotional roller coaster during that pregnancy.”

However, after suffering a devastating miscarriage in May 2020, the future mom of three admitted to experiencing “some dark moments” this time around. “I was constantly worried about losing these babies,” she said. “But once we got out of the first trimester, I felt a lot better.”

Arie, who also appeared in the clip, added, “I think ignorance was bliss with Alessi because there was not even an idea in your mind that we could lose her. So, we just floated around through that first pregnancy on this high. For the first half of this pregnancy, we were always cautiously optimistic.”

Elsewhere, Lauren explained how carrying twins feels compared to carrying one child. “It doesn’t feel that different. Sorry to burst people’s bubble. I think people are really excited about feeling two babies at one time,” she said. “I’ll just say that it feels very similar to one baby, but there is constant movement happening because one of them will be moving and then that one’s quiet.”

She continued, “And then when that one wakes up, this one is sleeping, so there’s kicking over here. There’s constantly something happening in [my belly], so I guess that’s the only difference. I don’t really get a break when they’re sleeping.”

Lauren and Arie concluded their video by sharing what they’ve been up to in the bedroom throughout this pregnancy. “I’ve got to say that it’s a little bit awkward with this belly,” Lauren said, detailing how her changing body impacts the couple’s intimate interactions. “It gets in the way. I can’t really move around very easily. That part’s annoying, but you figure it out.”

According to Arie, he is always up for the challenge. “Her pregnant body, to me, is extremely sexy. There’s something to that. There’s just something really beautiful and it’s attractive to me. I feel like a lot of guys who are dads probably share that same feeling,” he gushed. “Yeah, you figure it out.”

Lauren and Arie — who wed in January 2019 after falling in love on “The Bachelor” Season 22 — announced their pregnancy in December 2020. Their twins, a girl and boy, are expected to arrive in June.
