Tayshia Adams Teases What to Expect on Katie Thurston's Season of 'The Bachelorette'
Are you ready, Bachelor Nation? During the latest episode of the “Going to Bed with Garcelle” podcast, Tayshia Adams teased what to expect on Katie Thurston’s Season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
As fans are well aware, Tayshia and fellow former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe will be acting as mentors for Katie in her search for love.
“It’s so funny because if you would’ve told me I would be right here today, I would have never thought that this would be my position,” Tayshia told host Garcelle Beauvais.
“‘The Bachelor’ is pretty traditional in the sense of they have their rhyme or reason,” added the stunning California native, who led 2020’s Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” and is now engaged to her final rose recipient, Zac Clark.
Tayshia said that her and Kaitlyn’s roles are a result of factors falling “into place where the world needs something fresh and new.” (Longtime host Chris Harrison is currently on hiatus from the franchise.)
“I think that we are going to provide that this season,” Tayshia elaborated, describing her work with Kaitlyn. “I think that people are looking for change in the franchise. I really think that this is something that they’re going to be really excited about.”
Tayshia’s chat with Garcelle comes shortly after she and fellow Season 16 Bachelorette Clare Crawley were honored with an MTV Movie & TV Award nomination in the Best Dating Show category. (Vote for “The Bachelorette” here.)
“This is so wild! Are you guys punking me? Oh my God, this is wild!” Tayshia enthused on this week’s episode of “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” reacting to news of the nom in real time. “Oh my God, I could cry. This is so fun! Wait, this is actually freaking wild. I’m speechless and, you know, that takes a lot. That’s amazing!”
“The Bachelorette” Season 17 premieres Monday, June 7, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
