Katie Thurston Hilariously Recalls the Time She Wrote a Love Letter to Robert Pattinson

The Bachelor Nation star took to TikTok this week to hilariously recount the time she sent a love letter to “Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson.
“OK, I have a confession. Back in the day, before you could slide into the DMs of a celebrity, you had to send a letter to their fan mail mailbox. I did it one time and I was, like, 18 years old or 19 years old, which is so embarrassing,” she said. “And I wrote a letter to — I don’t even want to say this — to Robert Pattinson.”
Katie went on to say that she was strategic in her attempt to woo the handsome Brit who played Edward Cullen, the brooding vampire who stole the hearts of many a teen in the late aughts.
“And I wrote the letter not trying to be, like, a fangirl but like a friend,” she explained, before detailing the contents of her note. “Like, ‘Oh, here’s my number in case you’re lonely. Oh, I think you should get a dog. Oh, I’m not like the other girls. Oh, I’m going to spray this letter with perfume.’”
Katie concluded, “And, yeah, mailed the letter, took the time to put it in an envelope, put a f--king stamp on it, and sent it off in hopes that Robert Pattinson would text me. He never did.”
Although it didn’t work out with R-Patz, Katie has remained hopeful in her search for The One more than a decade later. The stunning Washington native will have the opportunity to date an incredible group of men when her journey as the Season 17 Bachelorette kicks off this summer.
In the first promo for her season, released on April 25, Katie reveals what she’s looking for in a partner. “I am who I am, and I want to meet someone who knows who they are,” the reigning franchise lead confidently states in the clip. “My person’s still out there.”
