Bachelor Nation Reacts to Kaitlyn Bristowe & Jason Tartick's Engagement
After Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick announced their engagement on Tuesday, Bachelor Nation lit up with celebratory reactions to the couple’s exciting news.
As Kaitlyn explained in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Jason’s proposal came as a surprise as she recorded an upcoming episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast.
“It was everything I could have asked for,” said the Season 11 Bachelorette, who began dating Jason in 2019. “The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful. We’ve never locked eyes like that in our lives. We were holding hands, so intense, and I was listening to his every word but still blacked out.”
Later, Kaitlyn — who lives in Nashville with Jason and their two dogs Pinot and Ramen — took to Instagram to share a series of stunning engagement photos that highlight the gorgeous diamond ring her new fiancé asked for her hand in marriage with.

“So wonderful!!!!!! AND THAT RING!!!!!!!” Season 6 Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky-Manno commented. Season 24 Bachelor Peter Weber added, “So happy for you two!”
Season 20 Bachelor Ben Higgins — who was the second runner-up on Kaitlyn’s season of “The Bachelorette” and is now engaged to skin care influencer Jessica Clarke — enthused, “Massive news! So pumped for you two.”
Katie Thurston — who was lucky enough to have Kaitlyn as a mentor alongside Tayshia Adams throughout her journey leading “The Bachelorette” Season 17 — wrote, “I’m so happy for you guys!!”
“Bachelor Happy Hour” co-host Becca Kufrin was equally thrilled to hear of Kaitlyn and Jason’s future wedding plans. “Letting out the loudest Ric Flair wooooo that there ever was!” the Season 14 Bachelorette wrote in an Instagram comment. “So happy for you both! Congrats and GOOD JOB.”
Season 10 Bachelorette Andi Dorfman also expressed well wishes: “Could not be happier for you!! Congrats! Sending so much [love].”
Meanwhile, beloved “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender Wells Adams couldn’t help but note how great Kaitlyn’s ring looked against her colorful manicure. “Whatever friend told you to get the fire manicure before this is the real hero,” he wrote. “Congratulations you two weirdos!”
