Tayshia Adams Dishes on 'The Bachelorette' Season 17 and Katie Thurston's Group of Guys
Tayshia Adams had a front-row seat to all the drama that went down during Katie Thurston’s journey as the Season 17 Bachelorette.
On this week’s episode of “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” Tayshia told co-hosts Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker what to expect when Katie’s search for love kicks off this summer.
“Y’all, it is a hot mess express. I was even there, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s so much drama,’” Tayshia recalled. “It looks spicy, if you will.”
As fans are aware, Tayshia and fellow former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe acted as mentors to Katie throughout filming.
Natasha then asked Tayshia about the mysterious man who arrives on night one in an oversized gift box — as seen in a preview for Season 17. While she couldn’t reveal the suitor’s identity, Tayshia noted, “All I can say is it’s worth the wait.”
Joe then asked, “Were there any guys you were really, really impressed with the first night?”
“OK, so there were some guys that came straight out of the limo and Kaitlyn and I were freaking out because of the connection we saw,” Tayshia said. “Katie’s men are hot! I mean, they were coming out of the limo, and I was like, ‘Lord, have mercy.’ It’s next level. She is a very lucky girl.”
Elsewhere, Tayshia explained that she was incredibly “invested” in Katie’s experience.
“One hundred percent, I felt like I was way more invested because I had just gone through it. I was almost very protective of [Katie] in some ways because I wanted her to see the whole picture,” said Tayshia, who got engaged to Zac Clark on the December 2020 finale of “The Bachelorette” Season 16.
“Because when you are the lead, you don’t get to see what the guys are saying behind the scenes,” she elaborated, adding that she was “sometimes” privy to conversations that Katie wasn’t.
Tayshia went on to say that she was “so excited” to see Katie lead the franchise. “The fact that I was watching it all go down and able to enjoy that with her was so special. It was so fun,” Tayshia said, admitting that she could have used her own “girl gang” to lean on as the Bachelorette. “I really wish I had that.”
