Raven Gates & Adam Gottschalk Reveal an Astrologer Predicted Their Wedding Planning Troubles
Newlyweds Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk stopped by “Click Bait” to chat with co-hosts Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker about the challenges they faced while planning their recent nuptials.
The beloved franchise couple — who fell in love while filming “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 4 in 2017 — tied the knot in front of 38 close friends and family members on April 16 at The Olana in Dallas, Texas. Prior to their ceremony, Raven and Adam had to replan their wedding multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
On “Click Bait,” the pair revealed that astrologer Brittany Madrid Mogenson predicted the troubles they would face in the planning process. The warning came in the fall of 2019, shortly after Raven and Adam interviewed Brittany for their now-defunct “Date Night” podcast.
“After the podcast, we went to dinner and she said, ‘You know what, while I’m here, give me your date of your wedding and I’ll do the chart really quick.’ So I was like, ‘OK,’ so I told her: May 30, 2020,” Raven recalled. “She did her thing and she was like, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this, but it’s not going to happen.’”
Raven and Adam originally invited 425 people to their wedding before the ongoing health crisis forced them into throwing an intimate affair.
“And she said, ‘It has nothing to do with you and Adam. You and Adam are soul mates, you’re supposed to be together, you will get married — but you will not get married this year,’” Raven continued. “I’m literally getting chills right now talking about it. She was like, ‘This date is bad.’ And she’s like, ‘It’s not between you guys. It’s the world.’ She was like, ‘Something in the world is going to happen.’”
Months later, Raven and Adam posed for an in-home photo shoot on what was supposed to be their wedding day. It was then that Raven realized Brittany’s prophecy had come true.
“On our actual first wedding day, we had an in-home photo shoot to kind of remember the day. And I remembered!” the boutique owner said. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, Brittany said that it was not going to happen today.’”
Raven added, “I was so thankful that we were just not rushing into getting married and not like, ‘This has to be our day.’ There were so many other things so much more important going around the world than for us to be so selfish and have a wedding.”
