Buckle Up, Bachelor Nation! Katie Thurston Navigates Major Drama in New 'Bachelorette' Teaser
Get ready for the ride of your life, Bachelor Nation!
A dramatic new teaser for “The Bachelorette” Season 17 dropped on Wednesday, highlighting the ups and downs that took place throughout Katie Thurston’s run as the reigning franchise lead.
The clip opens with contestant Garrett’s limo entrance. “I knew you were pretty, but you’re, like, pretty-pretty!” the handsome redhead tells Katie.
Next, the Bachelorette’s mentors, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams, announce, “Let the journey begin!” This prompts Katie to exclaim, “Bring on the men!”
A series of champagne toasts, fireworks, and steamy makeout sessions — one of which takes place in the pouring rain! — flash on-screen before Katie ponders aloud, “Is this a dream? I don’t know!”
Later, a familiar face shows up: Blake Moynes from Tayshia and Clare Crawley’s Season 16 of “The Bachelorette.” “Oh my God. It’s Blake!” Katie says from the balcony of a luxe New Mexico resort, where her season was filmed inside of a coronavirus-free bubble.
The promo also hints that “scandals” derail Katie’s search for love. “I didn’t come here for the bromance. I came here for followers,” Karl states, though it’s unclear if those are his sentiments or if he is simply relaying the message of a fellow suitor.
“I’m, like, shaking right now,” a distressed Katie admits.
“I think it’s about time she’s learned the truth,” a mysterious voice says, while another adds, “This is just insane.”
Finally, a seemingly aggrieved Katie laments, “I’m done! Someone, book my flight home.”
Watch the teaser below — and see how Katie’s story unfolds when “The Bachelorette” Season 17 premieres Monday, June 7, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
