Jennifer Aniston Fangirls over Rachel Lindsay in 'Extra' Interview: 'It's the Bachelorette!'
“Extra” correspondent Rachel Lindsay got the chance to interview the female cast members of “Friends” — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow — ahead of the iconic sitcom’s anticipated reunion special on HBO Max.
While Rachel expressed that she was “so excited” to chat with the women, it was A-list actress Jennifer who became starstruck in the face of Bachelor Nation royalty.
“Oh my God!” the Emmy winner shrieked, acknowledging Rachel’s presence via a video call. “It’s the Bachelorette, you guys!”
After taking a moment to calm down, Jennifer added, “Sorry, I got excited!”
Rachel replied, “That’s OK! This is as close as we’ve gotten to meeting each other.”
Rachel then asked Jennifer, Courteney, and Lisa all about their thrilling “Friends” project and the trio’s enduring friendship. Proud of their interaction, the franchise alum took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the special moment.
“Swipe to see The One Where Rachel Met Rachel,” wrote the fan favorite, whose journey as the Season 13 Bachelorette memorably ended in 2017 with an engagement to her now-husband, Bryan Abasolo.
“The #FriendsReunion is almost here!” she added. “We’re celebrating all week on @extratv - head over to our account for more!”
Jennifer — who played Rachel Green on “Friends” — has made it no secret that she is a passionate viewer of all things Bachelor Nation. In a 2015 interview with “Access Hollywood,” she confessed that “The Bachelor” is her favorite show. “It’s junk food,” she said, describing her addiction to the franchise. “It’s great junk food.”
During an April appearance on the “Click Bait” podcast, Jennifer’s hair colorist Justin Anderson told co-hosts Tayshia Adams, Joe Amabile, and Natasha Parker that he and Jennifer discuss all things “Bachelor”-related during appointments.
“We talk about it constantly. It’s so funny because when I would do ‘Bachelor’ people and I would post it to social media, the next time I would see [Jennifer], she would be like, ‘Wait, did you just meet so-and-so?’” he said. “She’s definitely a fan. I will admit that I’ve been invited a few times to go over to Jennifer Aniston’s house to watch ‘The Bachelor.’”
