Shortly after tying the knot in a gorgeous waterfront wedding ceremony in Florida, Caila Quinn Burrello and husband Nick Burrello jetted off to Dubrovnik, Croatia, for a romantic honeymoon.

Caila took to Instagram on Monday to share footage from their European getaway. “We booked our honeymoon last minute, hoping Europe would open up…and it did!!” the Bachelor Nation star wrote alongside a clip that sees the couple exploring Croatia’s stunning architecture and landscape.

She added, “Feeling truly grateful to explore and adventure through the streets of Dubrovnik with my favorite person.”

In another post, Caila detailed her and Nick’s experience traveling to Europe amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic. Croatia is one of the continent’s countries that has recently lessened COVID-19 restrictions, making way for U.S. citizens to visit.

“Been getting a flood of DMs asking about how it is visiting Croatia for our honeymoon!” she acknowledged. “Thought I’d give a roundup of the most frequently asked questions.”

Caila noted what future travelers will need to have on hand before heading to certain parts of Europe. “Countries like Greece, France, Iceland, Italy, & Croatia are now open to fully vaccinated travelers,” she wrote. “We just showed our vaccination card and didn’t have to get tested before or after traveling.”

As for Croatia’s mask mandate, Caila wrote, “You need to wear a mask at all times in airports and certain shops. But outside as a traveler, it’s pretty lax. Since you need to have the vaccine to enter the country, people are more comfortable with things opening up to visitors.”

Finally, Caila explained why she thinks it’s “worth it” to travel right now.

“For Nick & me personally, we’d say yes! It is a rare time in our lives where Nick can take time off to travel & we don’t have kids, so we wanted to make the most of it,” continued Caila, who, after years of living in New York City with Nick, is settling down in Austin, Texas, with the businessman.

“Also summer is usually high-travel season, where the streets are shoulder-to-shoulder packed with travelers, but right now everything is empty,” she added. “It is unheard of to walk down the Main Street of Dubrovnik without people in sight, it feels like we have the whole city to ourselves - quite romantic.”
