'Bachelor in Paradise' Co-Host Tituss Burgess Can't Wait for a Summer Full of 'Drama and Fun'
If there’s one thing Tituss Burgess is looking forward to this summer, it’s co-hosting Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
In an interview with Page Six published Monday, the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” star expressed his enthusiasm at presiding over Rose Ceremonies on the beaches of Mexico.
“Non-scripted TV is my guilty pleasure. I absolutely love it,” Tituss told the outlet. “I’ll be like a hog in s--t hosting this show.”
The actor went on to say that he is grateful to be getting a front-row seat to all the “drama and fun” that is typical of “Paradise.” Tituss also said that he can’t wait to experience the “reality” of the franchise’s popular spin-off series — and, of course, catch a glimpse of “all the hot men — I mean, all the hot people.”
Tituss joked that he is so excited for the gig that he isn’t worried whether contestants are there for “the right reasons.” He added with a laugh, “I’m not there for the right reasons!”
Joining Tituss in a lineup of rotating celebrity guest co-hosts for “Paradise” Season 7 are comedian David Spade, rapper Lil Jon, and former *NSYNC member Lance Bass.
David — a longtime fan of the franchise who regularly recaps episodes on his Instagram Stories — spoke out about his love for “The Bachelor” during a 2016 interview with the Canadian newspaper Windsor Star.
“I wish I was just doing a live feed while I watched it and just talk to the camera because everything about it makes me laugh,” he said at the time. “I watch five seconds and I’m drawn in.”
Meanwhile, Lil Jon made a memorable appearance on “The Bachelorette” Season 14 in 2018. As viewers will recall, the Grammy-winning artist provided music and encouragement for Becca Kufrin as she smashed cars during an action-packed one-on-one date.
“Bachelor in Paradise” Season 7 premieres Monday, August 16, on ABC.
