Why Desiree Siegfried Is 'So Thankful' to Release Her New Memoir 'The Road to Roses'
Desiree Siegfried’s new memoir, “The Road to Roses,” is officially out — and she couldn’t be more grateful to share her story with Bachelor Nation.
“TODAY is the DAY! My new book ‘The Road to Roses’ is officially out into the world!!” the Season 9 Bachelorette wrote in a Tuesday Instagram post. “I’m so thankful to all of you who have pre-ordered and who plan to order or pick it up! I couldn’t have done it without all of you. Truly!!”
Desiree noted that the book “means the world” to her, as it might help others navigate difficult moments.
“[It’s] your guide to staying courageous when life doesn’t go as planned, staying open to love after heartbreak and trusting the process no matter the odds,” the bridal designer continued. “It has been a wild journey from humble beginnings to a broke, single, 20-something go getter, to bachelorette, to bride, to momma and business owner.”
She added, “It hasn’t been easy but the road God took me on was a path of hope, to find a love and strength I never knew I had.”

According to Desiree, her tome delves into her Christian faith and explores God’s impact on her life. She also details major milestones that took place before, during, and after she entered the franchise.
“My hope is that through my heartbreaks, my mistakes, my journey on reality TV to find my husband and the aftermath of it all, you will find the hope and the strength to keep going when all seems lost, to pick up the pieces of your life and discover a greater purpose,” she wrote.
As viewers will recall, Desiree’s run on “The Bachelorette” concluded in 2013 with an engagement to Chris Siegfried. Less than two years later, the Portland-based couple wed in January 2015. Today, they share sons Asher, 4, and Zander, 2.
