Diggy Moreland on First-Time Fatherhood and Looking Forward to Daughter Teddie's Future Milestones
Weeks after welcoming daughter Teddie with girlfriend Jennifer Lando, Diggy Moreland reflected on the joys of first-time fatherhood in an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com.
“[Fatherhood] means the world to me!” said the beloved franchise star. “I get to raise someone to be great — but at the same time, change the narrative for the future.”
Pondering how parenthood might change him, Diggy explained, “I think it’ll make me see things through a different set of lenses. I’ll no longer probably live life on a whim — as much. I’ll now start to think how my actions will affect Teddie.”
As his baby girl grows up, Diggy said that he hopes to be a dad who “can relate to their kids and be there when needed.” When it comes to discipline, the Chicago-based blogger mentioned that he wants to be “stern, but not forceful.”
In the meantime, Diggy admitted that he can’t help but dream about his daughter’s future milestones. “[I can’t wait for her] first steps, traveling, sporting events, and seeing her excel at school!” he enthused.
Throughout it all, Diggy said that he wants to teach Teddie the importance of “empathy and kindness.” He elaborated, “There’s not a lot of that in the world!”
Elsewhere, Diggy — who fans got to know on “The Bachelorette” Season 13 and Seasons 4 and 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” — revealed that he will most definitely let Teddie watch his Bachelor Nation journey one day, noting that his experience within the franchise led him to the thriving family life he has today.
Diggy added, “Honestly, without Bachelor Nation, I’m not sure she would exist!”
