Victoria Paul Encourages Fans to Embrace 'Flaws and Failures' in Powerful Post About Self-Image
Just before she was announced as a cast member of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 7, Victoria Paul took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a powerful message about self-image.
“What if we were less concerned with shape of our bodies and more of the condition of our hearts?” the Bachelor Nation star asked in her caption, accompanied by photos and video clips highlighting happy, sad, and inspiring moments from her life.
“What if we could own our faults, flaws, and failures without fear? fear people might actually see that we aren’t perfect,” continued Victoria, who fans first fell in love with in 2020 as a contestant on Peter Weber’s Season 24 of “The Bachelor.”
“So, here i am. the quirky, flawed, ever-growing human that i am. accepting and loving all of who i am so that you don’t have to,” the Nashville-based nurse and social media influencer elaborated. “apologizing to myself for the times i blurred the lines, altered my light, and shrunk myself to fit into someone else’s timeline.”
Victoria concluded her post with an encouraging message for her followers. “if you’re reading this, i hope you know that your value doesn’t decrease when society says you don’t measure up. i hope as you scroll through your timeline that you’ll find beauty in others without questioning your own,” she wrote. “our scars, mistakes, childhood stories, and pieces that make us imperfect were never meant to hold us in a place of hurt — but to help us find healing in one another.”
She added, “because the truth is, we’re all a little broken. i love you. all of your brokenness and beautiful is welcome, here.”
Victoria’s words resonated with notable franchise alums, who shared positive messages in her comments section.
“The girl I love,” wrote fellow “Paradise” Season 7 contestant Victoria Larson, while Victoria Fuller left a series of white heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Sydney Hightower remarked, “My angel.”
