Joe & Natasha Clear Up Victoria P.'s Instagram Joke About Her 'Bachelor in Paradise' Portrait
After the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 7 was announced on July 8, Victoria Paul took to Instagram to comment on her official portrait for the summer spin-off show.
She shared the glossy image alongside three more natural photos of herself wearing the same bright pink dress. “What filter is this @bachelorinparadise ????” she wrote in her caption.
It wasn’t long before a series of entertainment news outlets wrote about Victoria’s social media sentiments, implying that she was slamming the franchise for heavily editing her pic.
But on the latest episode of “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” co-hosts Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker — who know Victoria and also participated in “Paradise” Season 7 — said the post was nothing more than a joke.

“Here’s the thing about Victoria Paul’s caption and the post and everything. First of all, I think she was clearly kidding,” said Joe. “I don’t think she was trying to call out ‘Bachelor in Paradise.’ But professional headshots and professional photos for television shows, for movies, for modeling, for anything, they’re all edited. That’s just how it works. That’s the name of the game.”
He elaborated, “Victoria Paul, yeah, that’s how she looks in most of her photos, to be honest. Except for when she’s not going to wear makeup and dress down and make a silly face. But I don’t think she was trying to call out [the] Bachelor [franchise] for being, like, ‘You’re making us all look fake.’ I don’t think that’s what she was doing, like people are trying to say.”
Natasha — who recently spent time with Victoria in Nashville — agreed. “It was definitely a joke. When I saw it, I laughed hysterically. I thought it was very funny,” the podcast personality said. “But Victoria Paul comes from the pageant world and there’s so much pressure to look a certain way, be a certain way.”
Natasha added, “A lot of my friends that have done pageants, they feel that pressure. So, knowing her and knowing how she feels about that, this was so funny to me.”
