Sarah Herron Gets Candid About Mental Health on Anniversary of Bipolar Diagnosis
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor.” Sarah also hit the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” on Seasons 1 and 3 in hopes of finding love.
While she ended up finding love and getting engaged off-screen, Sarah has kept Bachelor Nation fans up with her life on social media over the years.
Sarah has been extremely honest and candid about important topics like fertility, egg freezing, limb differences, and mental health with her followers.
And over the weekend, Sarah took to Instagram to share a mental health milestone with fans in honor of the many mental health awareness days this month.
In her post, the Bachelor Nation star wrote, “Officially two years living with a bipolar diagnosis and two years thriving on medication to treat it. Life is more vibrant and full of love (less conflict) since seeking treatment.”
She continued, “It can be for you too,” and “there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Having answers is empowering and creates a clear path towards healing.”
Sarah revealed, “Since this is the month I received my diagnosis, I’m going to spend a lot of time this month sharing my story, answering questions, and providing tools for you to learn more about mental health.”
She also shared important dates to keep in mind this month, including Mental Health Awareness Week from October 3 to October 9; National Depression Screening Day on October 7; and World Mental Health Day on October 10.
The Bachelor alum thanked her followers for “being so accepting and vulnerable” with her as she’s worked through her diagnosis over the past two years.
Fans and fellow Bachelor Nation stars flooded the comments of Sarah’s post, showing their support and thanking her for being so vulnerable.
Sarah is an inspiration to so many, and we have no doubt that by opening up about her mental health struggles, she’ll help even more people.
We’ll be keeping an eye on Sarah’s page all month as she continues to share more resources with her fans.
