This summer, former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin headed to the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” for another shot at finding love.

Becca made history as the first lead to hit the beach after their time as the Bachelor or Bachelorette and she admittedly went in with hesitations.

But the “Bachelor Happy Hour” host was pleasantly surprised when she met Thomas Jacobs, from Season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”

Thomas famously got sent home by Katie Thurston for supposedly not being there for the “right reasons,” but he came back to “Paradise” to prove everyone wrong.

He and Becca hit it off instantly, and while they ended up going their separate ways at the end of “Paradise,” in the finale it was revealed they reconnected after the show finished filming.

At the end of the episode, Becca and Thomas shared that they were back together and “happy and in love.”

The couple stopped by the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast to share how they reconnected and what the future looks like for them.

Co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo asked who reached out to who first after “Paradise” ended, and Becca admitted that she sent the first text.

The former Bachelorette revealed that she had to wait a couple days because they didn’t have their phones back yet, and Thomas said he received the text from Becca when he was waiting for his bags after his flight landed.

Thomas shared that while their breakup in “Paradise” was heartbreaking, he kept the faith that things could work out between them.

He said he even talked to Joe about leaving “Paradise” single then reconciling with Kendall after Season 5 of “Paradise.”

Thomas said he told Joe, “I have a feeling that something similar is going to happen to me. We talked and knowing how I felt about Becca and knowing that I knew she felt it too. I had faith it was going to lead to a future conversation, and I was waiting for the opportunity just to see her again.”

But Becca wasn’t sure Thomas would want to hear from her after how things ended.

Thomas explained, “When she first texted me, she said, ‘I know I’m probably the last person you want to hear from right now,’ but that couldn’t be further from the truth. That was the one text I was waiting to see, that’s the one person I wanted to hear from and the one person I wanted to hold. I think what we needed to get to where we are now, was for that breakup to happen.”

Becca agreed, adding, “When I reached out, I didn’t know how he was going to respond. But I really wanted to do it in a way where we could talk in person, face to face, because there was still so much left unsaid. I didn’t want to do it through texts, I wanted to have that long conversation and give it the respect and time it deserved.”

The couple explained that Becca drove from Los Angeles, where she lives, down to San Diego, where Thomas lives, shortly after they got home from Mexico.

Becca said they picked up right where they left off and as soon as they saw each other they embraced and kissed.

She also added that they stayed up until 3 or 4 a.m. for multiple nights in a row talking everything out.

And now, the two couldn’t be happier and their relationship is in a great place!

So, Mike and Bryan couldn’t help but ask if an engagement or marriage are in the near future for Becca and Thomas.

Thomas revealed, “It’s something we’ve talked about, I don’t want to spend my life with anybody else.”

Becca chimed in, saying, “I will probably hate myself for actually admitting this to anyone, but I called my mom, and even though I was engaged twice in the past, I was like, ‘Mom, I think I want to marry this guy.’ That was the first time I’ve actually said that out loud.”

Well, we can’t wait until that day comes for these two! We’re just so happy that they are so in love.
