Sarah Trott Shares Heartbreaking Post After Losing Her Dad to ALS: ‘I’ll Love You Forever’
Fans met Bachelor Nation star Sarah Trott on Season 25 of “The Bachelor.”
Throughout her time on the show, Sarah and Matt James formed a real connection and even went on a one-on-one date together, but eventually Sarah decided to self-eliminate.
Sarah shared with Matt that she was having a hard time watching him date other women, and she was also struggling with her own hesitation about being on the show after her father’s diagnosis with ALS.
Sarah left the show and returned home to take care of her dad and spend time with family during the difficult time.
Now, a year later, Sarah took to social media to share the heartbreaking news that her father has passed away.

You hung up your jersey last Friday after a hard fight with ALS. Six years of extra innings and surpassing everyone’s expectations both physically and mentally.”
Sarah continued her emotional post, writing, “My amazing dad, a true family man, my mentor, my inspiration and loving father. You fought so bravely. It was an absolute honor to know you for 25 years and to be your daughter. Thank you for showing us humor, dignity and courage in the hardest of times.”

Sarah concluded her post with something sweet she and her sister noticed after his passing, sharing, “Oh, and Lauren and I realized in divine timing the last baseball game we watched together was his beloved Red Sox crush the Yankees. Amen to that and now you have the best seats in the house, Dad.”
