Adweek Names ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ the 2021 Hottest Shows on Social
Adweek, the leading news source of news for all things branding and marketing, releases an annual list of most talked about shows, networks, and people.
This year, “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” received one of the top honors — Adweek’s 2021 TV Hot List as the Hottest Show on Social.
Adweek wrote, “As the pandemic headed into its second year, television continued to provide the escape and connection to the outside world that we so desperately craved.”
And when it came to “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” in particular, that connection and escape wasn’t only on television but also on social media.
Adweek wrote, “It’s impossible to scroll through social media without seeing something related to ABC’s still-addictive Bachelor franchise. The shows are some of the most talked about on social media with plenty of chatter surrounding each drama-filled night.”

Adweek provided specific numbers that demonstrated just how well the Bachelor Nation shows perform on social media.
“The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are the two top social series of the year on Twitter, averaging 301,000 and 238,000 interactions per episode, respectively,” the article stated.
The Bachelor franchise shows were in great company; some of the other shows on Adweek’s list included Netflix’s “Squid Game,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Ted Lasso,” “Bridgerton,” “The Crown,” and more.
