Trista and Ryan Sutter found love and got engaged on the very first season of “The Bachelorette.”

Trista gave Ryan her final rose back in 2003 and the two have been together ever since. They got married on TV in a three-episode special called “Trista & Ryan’s Wedding.”

Since then, the Bachelor Nation couple has had two children Max, 14, and Blakesley, 12.

And while Max is now a teenager, on this week in Bachelor Nation history, he made his debut on national television just months after he was born.

Trista and Ryan joined the live “After the Final Rose” special as guests for Season 11 of “The Bachelor.”

Before Brad Womack had to face his final two women, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft, Trista and Ryan introduced their son Max to Bachelor Nation.

When he was born, Max officially became the first Bachelor baby and Trista and Ryan couldn’t wait to show him off.

The two discussed their struggles trying to conceive and Trista shared that since welcoming Max, “It’s been great so far. He’s a beautiful baby. We’re really blessed. It was all a really crazy experience for me.”

She shared the moment she found out she was pregnant and said Ryan was away when she took a test.

The former Bachelorette said, “I still remember the day. Ryan was actually climbing a mountain in Argentina when I took a pregnancy test and I just sat there staring at it for about five minutes with my jaw to the floor. Then I let out the most joyous cry because I was so excited.”

During “ATFR,” Ryan also opened up about what it was like to finally be a father, saying, “I love being a dad. It’s one of those things that people say it’s the best thing ever and you’re like, ‘I’m sure it’s great.’ Then you actually become a dad and it’s an unexplainable thing in life that you have to experience to know. I can’t wait for him to be old enough to throw baseballs and catch frogs and that kind of stuff.”

A few years later, Ryan and Trista welcomed their daughter Blakesley, and now the family of four lives in Vail, Colorado.
