‘The Bachelorette’s’ Chris S. Reflects on What He Would Have Done Differently, Plus: Why He Really Interrupted Michelle & Nayte’s Date
Fans saw Chris S. get sent home by Michelle Young on this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette.” Now, he’s stopping by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to discuss his time on the show and what he would’ve done differently.
On “The Bachelorette,” Chris S. decided to interrupt Michelle and Nayte’s one-on-one date to have a conversation about what happened at the cocktail party the week prior.
In case you forgot, Chris S. called out the other men for thinking they “had it in the bag” with Michelle in front of the entire group.
During his conversation on “Click Bait,” Chris S. clarified why he did that, saying, “Regardless of how it came off, at the end of the day, my intentions were genuine. I’ve got nothing against those guys. It might have come off a little stronger than intended, but I had good intentions.”
And when it came to why he interrupted Michelle and Nayte’s date after calling out Nayte specifically, Chris S. said it actually didn’t have to do with his beef with Nayte.
Chris S. said he wanted to find time to talk to Michelle because he thought he might not get it before the Rose Ceremony.
“With the Rose Ceremony coming up and how those work, I wasn’t sure I’d get a chance to go say, ‘I just want the best for you’ and even if she didn’t feel like a relationship was right for us, I just wanted to tell her how I felt and then be on my way. I didn’t think I would get that chance,” Chris S. explained.

The Bachelor Nation star also said that when he showed up to the date, he knew that it was a risk and that Michelle could send him home.
Chris S. explained, “I wasn’t going into it thinking we were breaking up. It was just to have a conversation and tell her I was coming from a genuine place. I didn’t mean anything bad and just wanted to say, ‘Here’s where I stand. I didn’t get a chance to say everything I wanted to say. I wanted to say I want the best for you and I wish you the best.’”
When co-hosts Joe Amabile and Tia Booth asked Chris S. whether he wished he had done anything differently during his time on the show, he got candid.
Chris S. said, “I wish I wouldn’t have come off as harsh to the other guys. They’re a great group of guys and I don’t have bad blood towards any of them. I just wouldn’t have come off as harsh. What I did came from a genuine place. I didn’t mean to burst anybody’s bubbles, so I would’ve come off a little softer.”
