Michelle Young’s Men Celebrate the Holidays with ‘Bachelorette’-Themed Recipes!
Celebrate the holidays with Bachelor Nation!
As Michelle Young’s season of “The Bachelorette” continues to unfold, some of her suitors have come through with delicious holiday recipes.
From Rodney to Rick to Olumide and everyone in between, we’ve got you covered for some delicious holiday dishes that are perfect nods to their time on the show.
Let’s start with Rodney, who’s bringing the holiday spirit and the holiday spirits, if you know what we mean…
As fans recall, Rodney dressed up as an apple on night one of “The Bachelorette,” so it’s only fitting that he is celebrating the holidays with the perfect apple cider.

Rodney’s Spiked Apple Cider Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 cups apple cider
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 8 whole allspice berries
- 2 Gala or Fuji apples, cored and cubed (not Granny Smith!)
- 8 fluid ounces spiced rum
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Directions:
- Put the apple cider, cinnamon sticks, and allspice berries into either a slow cooker or a large pot on the stove. Cover and heat up on a medium heat for 30 to 60 minutes, or until steaming. Once steaming, reduce the heat setting to low.
- Add the apples and rum to the mixture and stir to combine.
- Ladle the spiked cider into mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
- Enjoy!
Next up, we have Bachelor Nation’s very own pizzapreneur, Peter, who obviously has the perfect recipe for a day after Thanksgiving leftovers pizza. Grab your leftovers and a pizza crust, and let Peter show you how to do the rest!

Peter’s Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 ready-to-bake pizza crust
- 1/2 cup gravy
- 1 cup turkey diced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup stuffing
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
- Spread gravy in an even layer onto the ready-to-bake pizza crust (like you would with sauce).
- Place diced turkey around the pizza and cover with shredded cheese to keep the turkey from drying out.
- Scoop small spoon-sized amounts of mashed potatoes and stuffing on top of the pizza.
- Warm cranberry sauce in the microwave for 30 seconds and then drizzle it over the pizza.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
- Slice and serve hot!
Sounds delicious! What a fun way to enjoy your leftovers!
Next, let’s toss it to Rick, who we all know enjoys meals (and his head) served on a silver platter. Rick has the perfect recipe for a honey-baked ham — served on a silver platter, of course.

Rick’s Honey-Baked Ham on a Silver Platter
Ingredients:
- 8- to 10-pound (4- to 5-kg) bone-in or boneless fully cooked ham
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup whole cloves
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and arrange a rack in the lower third.
- Unwrap the ham and set it aside to rest at room temperature for one to two hours.
- Remove the rind or skin of the ham, but leave the fat on.
- Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch-wide diamond pattern (don’t cut more than 1/4 inch deep) over the entire ham.
- Insert cloves into the center of each diamond.
- Place the ham in the baking tray; pour the pineapple juice into the base of the pan and cover the ham with two pieces of foil or parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes.
- While the ham is starting to bake, start on the glaze by heating the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until golden brown. Add in the honey and brown sugar, stirring to combine until the brown sugar has completely dissolved.
- After the ham has baked for 15 minutes, remove it from the oven and pour 1/3 of the glaze all over the ham
- Return the ham to the oven and bake uncovered for 15 minutes at a higher temperature of 425 degrees F.
- Repeat this step twice until you’ve used all of the glaze over the course of around 30 minutes.
- After removing the ham from the oven, let it rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve up the ham on a silver platter and garnish with greens, tomatoes, or anything else you’d like!
Yum! Now, last but not least, Olumide has the perfect recipe to bring the heat to the holiday season. His favorite meal, jollof rice and chicken with a kick, will keep your family and friends on their toes.
