Clayton Echard Reveals Whether He Was Really in Love with 3 Women: ‘I Know Those Feelings Were Genuine’
Clayton Echard’s journey as the Bachelor has officially begun!
Last night, Clayton’s season of “The Bachelor” kicked off and ended with a jaw-dropping trailer for the rest of the season.
In the teaser, Clayton is heard telling multiple women that he’s in love with them and revealed that he fell in love with three of them.
While discussing the show, he stopped by “Good Morning America,” where he shared whether he really fell in love multiple times now that he’s had time to process the journey.
Clayton revealed, “I couldn’t conceptualize it at first and I told myself I wasn’t going to fall in love with multiple women and then it happened. It was a little scary at first for me to make sense of it, but once I realized I was at that point, I had to navigate it to the best of my ability.”
And when asked if the feelings were all genuine looking back on the journey, Clayton said absolutely.
The Bachelor shared, “Yeah, looking back at it, the feelings were very real. I was fully invested and in the moment and I don’t look back now and think it was because I was there and that’s what I thought I felt. It was actually reality and I know that those feelings were genuine.”
He also revealed that his time on Michelle Young’s season of “The Bachelorette” prepared him for his role as the lead.
Clayton said, “I had only seen four episodes of Bachelor Nation shows prior, so I didn’t know what I was getting into. Michelle’s season primed me in a way to understand how things work and gave me a little more confidence walking into the role as the Bachelor.”
And if you’re wondering whether or not Clayton found what he was looking for, he said the journey surprised even him.
He said, “I’ve said it before and it still holds true: I met so many incredible women, but what I realized was that what I was looking for could come in many different shapes and forms and that’s what happened. I went through the journey and realized what I thought I wanted and what I ended up finding.”
