EXCLUSIVE: Riley Christian Shares How Bachelor Nation Fans Can Support Black History Month, Plus: What It Means to Have People Look Up to Him
February is Black History Month, and Bachelor Nation star Riley Christian sat down exclusively with BachelorNation.com to discuss the importance of Black history.
When talking about what Black History Month means to him, Riley said “It actually means a lot. In my opinion, Black should always be celebrated, but it also feels good to know that there’s an entire month dedicated to Black history by the country so everybody can really focus on it for a set period of time. It just feels good to know that.”
Riley went on to say that Black history really is American history and that it should be celebrated beyond just the month of February.
In the video below, he shared some ways for Bachelor Nation fans to show their support, including giving credit where credit’s due, having uncomfortable conversations, and continuing your education of Black history year-round.
Riley also opened up about what it means to him to be a leader in his community and a role model to many other Black people.
The Bachelor Nation star shared, “Sometimes I just go through life, and as I try to reach my goals, I reach one and I just go for the next one. So it’s easy to kind of get caught up in some things, so when I take a step back, I can just say that I’m very blessed to be in the position that I’m in. It feels really good to know that some people look up to me. It’s good to know that I’m doing something right.”
Riley shared more about what connecting with Bachelor Nation fans who look up to him has been like since his time on the shows in the video below.
