TikTok Star Rod Thill Shares How He Copes with Internet Hate with 'Click Bait' Hosts, Plus: How He Stays Grounded
Haters, be warned!
Many Bachelor Nation stars know all too well the feeling of rising to Internet fame, only to be met face-to-face with nasty comments and crude opinions online.
TikTok sensation Rod Thill (@justme.rod) can surely relate. He stopped by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to chat with Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker, and guest host Deandra Kanu about how he copes with Internet hate.
When Deandra asked how Rod deals with online bullying, he explained, “I kind of came out of the gates hot with my insecurities,” which helped set the basis for utilizing his platform for mental health.

Rod went on to add, “I do get the occasional duet of the alpha bro who’s like, ‘Just suck it up!’ but then I look at his page and he has no profile picture and his hairline is receding far back to the opposite side of his head. I’m like, ‘Okay, I could care less about what you think.’”
One thing Rod still admits to having a hard time with is when his fans get upset about not knowing every detail of his life, or when they are quick to assume that he’s not relatable anymore.
He said, “I hate the comments that are like, ‘Are you transcending your current audience?’ Even when I met Shania Twain, someone was like, ‘You’re too big for me now.’”
While Rod did say there were thousands of comments from fans who were genuinely excited for him, the few comments he receives from unsatisfied fans do make him question himself.
Rod told the “Click Bait” hosts that he strives to remain grounded in every aspect of his life.
“That’s why I stayed in Chicago. That’s why I still work a corporate job part-time. I still want to be able to relate to my audience, but also, I just need that grounding, because who knows what’s gonna happen.”
We love a humble king!
