In case you missed it, during this week’s “Women Tell All” episode, Shanae dropped the bomb that Genevieve had hooked up with Bachelor Nation alumni Aaron Clancy after her time on “The Bachelor.”

Genevieve then clapped back, saying that Shanae has been in Aaron’s direct messages on Instagram.

Well, Aaron himself stopped by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to clear the air on all the dating and DM rumors.

Co-hosts Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker, and Tia Booth said that instead of discussing the drama, they should just give Aaron a call.

So Aaron hopped on the podcast and shared how he and Genevieve met.

The Bachelor Nation star explained, “Genevieve and I met randomly one time at a bar. Clayton’s season hadn’t even aired yet, so I didn’t know who she was. She knew who I was from ‘Paradise’ and came up to me to introduce herself. We hugged and that was pretty much the extent of it. I didn’t care to talk too much about ‘The Bachelor’ with her and that was it.”

Aaron continued, adding, “She told me she was on the show and that they had already wrapped filming. I didn’t know who she was at all, but she did post me on her Stories. It was super surface level, but she posted me on her Stories and I was absolutely hammered. She was holding a rose and I looked at the camera. It got reposted by one of the Bachelor fan pages and I guess Shanae saw it and ran with it.”

Natasha couldn’t help but wonder if Aaron would be interested in Genevieve, though, if they were both to head to “Bachelor in Paradise” this summer, and Aaron got candid with his answer.

He said, “I think there’s going to be love on the beach, and hopefully I’m involved in it. And if I don’t go back to ‘Paradise,’ I mean I live in San Diego, so there’s going to be love on the beach every day here. But no, I did not hook up with Genevieve, though. I wasn’t trying to, either. I was too busy worried about hanging out with James!”

Aaron shared that it usually takes him a few times of meeting someone before he can tell if there’s something there romantically because he still has his guard up and he only met Genevieve that once.

And as for Shanae sliding into his DMs, he showed the “Click Bait” co-hosts the receipts that she has in fact replied to a few of his Stories.

He shared her heart eye emoji responses to his “shirtless photos” where he said he looked “pretty good.”

So there you have it! Aaron cleared the air on the Genevieve and Shanae rumors, and who knows? Maybe we’ll see him find love in “Paradise” this summer.
