EXCLUSIVE: Genevieve Parisi Shares Why She’s ‘Proud’ of Her ‘Bachelor’ Experience, Plus: How the Show Impacted Her Dating Life
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Genevieve Parisi on Season 26 of “The Bachelor,” and now she’s stopping by for an exclusive chat with BachelorNation.com.
Genevieve won over fans on Clayton Echard’s season, especially during her infamous two-on-one date with Shanae, but was sent home shortly after.
Genevieve revealed that while she didn’t find love on the show, she did learn a lot about herself in the process.
The Bachelor Nation star shared with us that, “The biggest thing I learned about myself from the experience is that I’m very emotionally strong. I’ve struggled with anxiety and being on the show tested my patience and my anxiety. But seeing how I got through it made me really proud of myself.”

And while she made it through, Genevieve said that the transition back to the real world after the show wasn’t easy.
“It was honestly hard coming back from filming, especially for a few weeks. But seeing my family, being with my friends, and getting rest were the best things I could’ve done. I took time for myself and that’s how I got back into everything,” she explained.
She hopes that her time on “The Bachelor” helps others who watched her learn from her experience and stick up for what they believe in.
Genevieve said, “I just hope that I gave people some confidence to stick up for themselves. I did my best to do that the entire time on the show. I was myself and stood up for myself and my friends when I felt like it was the right thing to do.”
And since she’s gotten back into the swing of things after returning home from the show, while Genevieve said she hasn’t been dating much, she did learn some important dating lessons from her Bachelor journey.

Genevieve explained, “On the show, I realized that I need to be better about opening up, being vulnerable, and letting my walls down. So since getting back from ‘The Bachelor,’ I haven’t done much dating since I’ve been back but I have been more open. That’s really what I learned from the experience is that I need to be more open or I’m not going to get anywhere when it comes to a relationship.”
So while she didn’t find love on-screen yet, Genevieve did form lasting friendships that she still values very much to this day.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I keep in touch with a good amount of Bachelor Nation friends. Rachel and Serene I talk to very often and I talk to Ency, Sierra and Mara. I keep in touch with most of the women from my season!”
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Genevieve!
