Emily & Haley Ferguson Share the Hilarious Stories How They Met Their Fiancés by Sliding in Their DMs
Bachelor Nation royalty and famous twins Emily and Haley Ferguson have come a long way since they first appeared on Season 20 of “The Bachelor.”
While the two appeared on both “The Bachelor” and on “Bachelor in Paradise,” they both ended up finding love offscreen and are both engaged.
Yes, you read that right, both identical twins (who literally do everything together) are now also engaged at the exact same time!
It’s only fitting!
Now, Emily and Haley are stopping by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to discuss how they met their fiancés and how Emily actually played a major role in Haley meeting her man.

Emily started off sharing how she met her fiancé professional hockey player William Karlsson.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I met my fiancé on Instagram. I just sent him a DM. He got traded to the Vegas Golden Knights and we’ve never had any professional sports team in Las Vegas. I knew nothing about hockey and just thought it was a cool sport. It’s just such a weird story, I think it’s so weird that you can meet someone on social media by sending them a DM and now I’m marrying him.”
Emily shared that after seeing his profile on Bumble (so she knew he was single) and having a conversation in their DMs on Instagram, she and Will decided to meet in person.
She said, “I met up with him and we have been inseparable ever since. He always wanted to be around me, anytime I left the house he’d ask when I was coming back. He’s from Sweden and I just thought it must be because European guys are so nice.”

And this led Emily to believing that her twin sister Haley needed a nice European man herself, so she got to work on finding the perfect person for Haley.
“I started creeping on all of Will’s hockey friends. And through the long list of me stalking people, I found Oula. We thought he was really cute but we weren’t sure if he spoke any English because he’s from Finland and all his captions were in Finnish. But she sent him a message and hoped for the best and the rest is history,” Emily shared.
Haley revealed that she actually wasn’t hoping for a serious relationship with a fellow hockey player and only messaged her now fiancé Oula Palve for fun.
Haley said, “I didn’t want a hockey player, I wanted a businessman or someone not as much in the spotlight. My fiancé actually lives overseas right now so I’m in this relationship where I travel back and forth from the US to Europe all the time. It’s not what I ever imagined my life would be, but he’s worth it for me. When my sister was sending guys over Instagram to DM, I never thought anything would actually come of it. I just thought it would be for fun!”

And in case you’re looking for some advice on how to slide into someone’s DMs, the twins are clearly experts and have you covered.
They said, “It was always just a ‘hi’ with a smiley face. People always ask us how to slide into the DMs, it’s so simple, just say hi and if they like you they are going to go look at your profile and if they like what they see they’ll respond.”
