Ashley Iaconetti Shares If She’d Let Her Son Go on ‘The Bachelor,’ Plus: She Reveals the Baby Name Jared Vetoed
A true Bachelor Nation love story!
Ashley Iaconetti Haibon and Jared Haibon tied the knot back in 2019 after first meeting on “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2015.
Earlier this year, Ashley and Jared also became parents after welcoming their first child together, Dawson.
So naturally, when Ashley stopped by the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast, co-hosts Bryan Abasolo and Mike Johnson had to ask Ashley if they’d let their son go on a Bachelor Nation show one day.
Ashley said, “Jared and I always say we would have to let him go on the show. We found each other through the show, and it’s only been good and such an insane blessing to us that we’d have to let him do it. He’s a little studmuffin. I think he might have some qualifications going for him!”
How cute! I mean, Ashley does have an adorable onesie for Dawson that says “Future Bachelor.” We’re just saying, you never know!
And while Ashley said that she and Jared agreed right away on her pick for Dawson’s name, they weren’t as in agreement on her choice for a girl’s name.
As Ashley has previously explained, the name Dawson came from her love for the character Jack Dawson in the movie “Titanic.”
And her pick for a girl name was also based on something she loves.
Ashley explained, “Jared was not down with my pick for a girl name, which was Arena. The name Arena came from me being at a New Kids on the Block concert in my early 20s. I was like, ‘This is the life. I love being in an arena. This is my happy place!’”
She continued, saying, “I had a list of hundreds of concerts that I’ve been to. I’ve been to over 200 concerts. I just love arena concerts and I love pop music and the energy around it. So I loved the name Arena because arenas are my happy place.”
Mike said that he has to agree with Jared on vetoing that name idea, but he did remember meeting Ashley for the first time at an arena concert, so he liked the sentiment.
