Joe Amabile Reveals How He & Serena Pitt Played Matchmaker for Anna Redman & Chris Bukowski

Fan favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt famously found love and got engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise” last summer.
The two couldn’t be happier together, and they decided to spread the love and help set up another Bachelor Nation couple.
On this week’s episode of the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast, Joe told the story of how he and Serena set up Anna Redman and Chris Bukowski, who went public with their relationship late last month.
As Joe and his co-hosts Natasha Parker and Tia Booth were discussing whether they were surprised by the new couple’s relationship announcement, Joe said, “I wasn’t surprised because Serena and I hooked them up.”

He went on and told the story of how these two got together, saying, “Serena is friends with Anna and they were on the phone and Anna mentioned that she was sick of being single. Don’t quote me on this, but I think that’s how it went.”
Joe explained, “Then that night, I met up with a few people to watch a game and Chris was there. He was telling me that he was also sick of being single. I was like, ‘Well, I actually know someone who’s also sick of being single.’ It went like that, so I told him to text her. I texted Serena and told her that Chris was into Anna and that was it.”
Natasha joked that if it’s that easy, why don’t Serena and Joe set her up with someone if she’s also “sick of being single”?
But Joe said these two actually already knew of each other, despite never meeting.

Joe said, “He already knew who she was because they both already lived in Chicago, so they knew each other existed. But he was definitely interested. I remember telling him to text her right now and strike while the kitchen is still hot. Because if he waited, she might not respond or she might be with someone else. So it was perfect timing and I told him to take advantage of timing.”
Tia chimed in, saying that if Chris had just come to “Paradise” one more time, maybe he would’ve met Anna, but the hosts agreed that who knows what would’ve happened and they’re just so happy they found each other now.
So, way to go Joe and Serena! We love a new Bachelor Nation couple!
