Raven Gottschalk Reveals Whether She or Adam Picked Their Son Gates’ Name and Shares Parenting Updates
Raven Gates Gottschalk and Adam Gottschalk found love on Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2017.
Since their time on the show, they moved in together, got engaged, got married, and welcomed their son Gates into their lives.
Now, Raven is answering some fan questions about everything from naming their son to updates about parenting.
During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked if their son Gates is named after Raven’s maiden name.
She responded, “Yes! Adam was the one who named him. I actually had a hard time calling him Gates in the beginning because it was my name for so long.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on sharing that, “We knew we wanted the GG initials for either a boy or a girl. But some people in our family actually call him by his middle name, Zev, although Adam is firm on calling him Gates.”
Raven said that Gates is “such a strong name and it suits him!”
How sweet!
Another fan asked how big Gates has gotten because he’s looking tall in the photos Raven has posted of him.
She shared another pic of her and Gates, writing, “I took this pic of our shadows to send to my parents because he’s so big it looks like I’m carrying a two year old!”
She went on to say that while Gates is not even 4 months old, he’s already wearing clothes meant for 9-month-olds.
Raven wrote, “Our next pediatrician appointment is later this month so I’m not sure of his exact current measurements, but he’s always been in the 98th percentile for height. Adam is the shortest of his two brothers and he’s six foot two so I figured we’d have a tall baby!”
One fan asked Raven how their dog Boaz has been with Gates, and she wrote, “Sooooo good! Every time Gates cries, Boaz brings a toy for him and he sleeps wherever Gates is during the day and in his nursery at night.”
She also shared that before bringing Gates home, they took Boaz to special training so that he could learn to walk well alongside the stroller and they brought home a dirty diaper and baby blanket so Boaz could get used to Gates’ scent.
We love to see Raven and Adam’s family thriving with their little bundle of joy. We can’t wait to continue to watch Gates grow!
