Kate Gallivan Reveals Why She Took the Advice from One ‘Paradise’ Alumnus ‘With a Grain of Salt’
Spilling the tea!
Bachelor Nation first met Kate Gallivan on Season 26 of “The Bachelor,” and while things didn’t work out between Kate and Clayton, fans are hoping to see Kate on the beaches of “Bachelor in Paradise” this summer.
Nothing is officially confirmed, but Kate stopped by the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast to discuss the possibility of going to “Paradise” and open up about recently meeting fellow Bachelor Nation stars at music festivals.
Kate went to both Coachella and Stagecoach but said Coachella was more of a work event for her.
She explained, “Coachella was really fun but definitely felt like a work trip. I used to work in entertainment in the music industry, so I’m used to going to festivals with my friends and running around, but with my co-workers, it was with a different energy.”
Stagecoach, on the other hand, was more just for fun, and Kate got to meet many fellow Bachelor Nation stars.

She told Joe Amabile, Natasha Parker, and Tia Booth, “Stagecoach was the mother ship of Bachelor Nation. Everybody goes. I was like geeking out because we’re all in this little world now and we have a shared experience, no matter how different or fruitful the experience was. I feel really connected to all of these people, so it was really cool to get to rub shoulders with some of the greats and be able to have an understanding of each other.”
Kate shared that she “got some advice” from some former “Paradise” cast members, and Natasha chimed in saying she should be careful with who she gets advice from.
“I wasn’t going to bring this up, but there is one person who needs to shut their effing mouth. His name is Blake Horstmann. He should not be giving anyone advice about ‘Paradise,’ period,” Natasha candidly said.
Kate laughed, saying that Blake is exactly who she was referring to when she said someone gave her advice.
Katie said, “Fingers crossed I actually even get to go to ‘Paradise,’ but he was like, ‘You need to stay true to yourself and you are going to be used, so just use the show right back.’ He was saying all that, but he and I are very different people, and we have very different life experiences and trajectories within the franchise. So I take everything with a grain of salt.”

The Bachelor Nation star went on saying, “I thought he was great and super nice, but I realize how different our paths look. It’s all situational and circumstantial to the person. People give advice based on their experience, but it’s very different from one person to the next.”
Tia chimed in noting that Blake got to perform at Stagecoach because of the notoriety he garnered from his time on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
So Tia shared some advice of her own, saying, “Our advice is just to do your thing and have fun, girl. That’s it!”
