Bachelor Nation fans first met Andi Dorfman on Season 18 of “The Bachelor,” and she went on to be the Bachelorette for Season 10.

Since then, Andi has been more private about her love life… until recently! In late 2021, Andi introduced her boyfriend Blaine Hart to her more than 1 million followers on social media.

Then, in March 2022, Andi shared that the two were engaged, writing, “WORTH THE WAIT!” with the engagement ring emoji.

Now, Andi stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour,” podcast where she opened up to co-hosts and fellow former Bachelorettes Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young about her engagement.

Becca asked Andi if she had a feeling that Blaine would be proposing soon and she said, “Yes, I knew it was coming. We picked the ring out together. He was so excited and kept wanting to show me photos, but I wanted to be a little surprised. He was coming for the L.A. Marathon and our families were coming in. I knew he had the ring with him.”

And while Andi knew the proposal was coming, she didn’t know when Blaine would pop the question.

The former Bachelorette explained, “I didn’t know what day he was going to do it. I actually thought it might be the Saturday before the marathon. But Friday, no one was answering my calls and my mom said she was playing golf and I believed it. We were going down to the beach for dinner and we always go to the beach when it’s nice out for sunset cocktails. That was nothing new.”

But on her way down to the beach, Andi’s Bachelor Nation BFF Kelly Travis made her a bit suspicious.

Andi said, “On our way down to the beach, I FaceTimed my best friend Kelly who was on the show with me, and her face was so excited and I was like, ‘What’s wrong with you?!’ She covered it up and asked what we were doing. Then Blaine started acting weird.”

Then once they got down to the beach, Andi knew something was up.

She said, “We were on the beach and he’s all dressed up and I’m in sweatpants and then I see a photographer and I was like, ‘Oh, okay!’ The best part was he said we were just going back to the hotel to relax and we weren’t going to dinner. We went back to my house to change and I remember the door was double-locked and I thought that was weird.”

She continued on and revealed the most surprising part of the day, saying, “I said, ‘Thank goodness no one is here’ and then I opened the door and everyone was inside. My family and his parents came in early, our close friends were there, my sister came with her kids. That was a huge surprise to me! I posted a video and I was very emotional for that. I don’t usually cry, but that was a big moment.”

And while Andi and Blaine only started dating just under a year ago, she knows he’s perfect for her.

Andi said, “With Blaine, there were just no red flags. I remember month after month I was looking for the shoe to drop and it never did. We were together for a long enough time to know that he was my person and he was the one.”
