This Week in Bachelor Nation History: Rachel & Bryan Host Becca Kufrin’s First ‘Bachelorette’ Group Date!
Throwing it back to Week 1!
This week in Bachelor Nation history, Becca Kufrin was just starting her journey as the Bachelorette and kicked off her season with the first group date.
Four years ago, fans saw Becca bring her first group of guys on a special date where they started off the day getting pampered and fitted for tuxedos.
But the pampering didn’t last long, as Becca said, “They’re going to go through the wringer today to find out who’s going to make it out on other end and is serious about finding love.”
The guys headed down to Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu with Becca, where instead of a black tie event, they were greeted by Rachel Lindsay, Bryan Abasolo, and an obstacle course.
Becca was so excited to have Rachel and Bryan by her side for her first group date, saying, “Rachel and Bryan are a happily engaged couple and that’s what I want at the end of all of this. I’m just so happy they are here by my side today to start this entire journey with me.”
Rachel and Bryan introduced the muddy obstacle course to the guys, with Rachel saying, “It’ll be fun, it’ll be messy, but that’s kind of symbolic of what relationships are like!”
After some intense competition and even some cheating accusations, Lincoln ended up winning the obstacle course and got to kiss Becca and pose for some pictures with the Bachelorette.
This ended up causing drama at the nighttime portion of the group date when Connor threw the framed photo with Becca that Lincoln brought with him.
With all the drama this situation stirred up, Becca ended up giving the group date rose to Jean Blanc, who was more focused on his connection with Becca than the drama between the other guys.
This was only just the beginning of Becca’s Bachelorette journey, and as fans know now, she later ended up finding love with Thomas Jacobs on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
