Mari Pepin Shares Throwback ‘Paradise’ Journal Entries, Including a Sweet Note to Her Fiancé Kenny

As Bachelor Nation fans know, Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch found love and got engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
But before Mari and Kenny had ever met, she was excited about meeting him on the beach and revealed that in her “Paradise” journals.
In honor of Kenny’s birthday this week, Mari took to Instagram to share some of her journal entries from right before she met her fiancé in Mexico.
In her “Paradise” journal, Mari wrote, “What a day! I’m in Mexico! WOW! I’m so excited to be traveling and even more so to a whole different country that I’ve never visited.”
She went on, saying, “It’s really hot here, I forgot to check the weather app before I gave my phone up. This hotel is so beautiful. It’s huge and by the beach and I have a balcony which will be nice to spend some time outdoors while quarantining.”
Mari also shared that while she hadn’t met Kenny yet, she was interested in him and talked to a producer about planning something special for Kenny’s birthday.
She wrote, “She’s gonna help me get together something anonymous for Kenny’s birthday!”
And in her quarantine journal entry for the next day, Mari started off by writing, “Happy Birthday Kenny!” and shared that she was waiting on some art supplies so she could make a card for him.
How sweet!
Alongside the journal entry, Mari wrote, “One year ago today… Happy birthday Kenny <3”

Mari also reshared Kenny’s post where he jokingly wrote, “It’s Kenny’s birthday… The cake when Mari walks in:” with a sweating photo of Jordan Peele.
This is a nod to Mari throwing Kenny’s birthday cake into the fire last summer amid some relationship drama in “Paradise.”
A year later, these two have come a long way and are living together in Chicago and planning their wedding!
