Danielle Maltby Shares Tips for Making Her LGBTQ+ Patients Feel Comfortable in Honor of Pride Month
Celebrating Pride!
Bachelor Nation fans first met Danielle Maltby on Season 21 of “The Bachelor,” and she went on to appear on Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
On the shows, Danielle discussed her career as a neonatal nurse and how her work as a health care professional means so much to her.
Since her time on Bachelor Nation shows, Danielle continues to use her platform to share resources and uplift voices in medicine on her “WoMed Podcast.”
Now, Danielle took to Instagram to share an important message for Pride Month with her hundreds of thousands of followers.
The Bachelor Nation star wrote, “Happy Pride Y’all!!! You are safe, valued, and loved here. As medical professionals it’s important to make sure our patients feel safe.”

Danielle continued on and shared some tips for other health care workers to help make sure their LGBTQ+ patients always feel safe and comfortable.
She wrote, “Do: Use gender-neutral greetings. Don’t: Assume someone’s pronouns- always ask how you can best address someone. Do: Use inclusive words during physical assessment and exams. i.e.: upper body, chest, genitalia. Don’t: Use words that assume someone has an opposite sex partner.”
In the post, Danielle is rocking a shirt that says, “Do it for the girls, gays, and theys” with a rainbow next to it.
Many of Danielle’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars showed support on her post, and we couldn’t agree more with the love.
