Pieper James Shares Tutorial for ‘Pearly and Pretty’ Updo Hairstyle and Answers Fan Hair Questions
Pretty in pearls!
Fans met Bachelor Nation star Pieper James on Season 25 of “The Bachelor,” and she also appeared on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
And since her time on the shows, Pieper has been keeping fans up with all things travel, beauty, skin care, fashion, and more on social media.
Most recently, the Bachelor Nation star shared a tutorial for a slicked-back bun with pearl embellishments that has fellow Bachelor Nation stars and fans swooning.
To start off, Pieper dries her wet hair and takes it out of her towel twist.
Next, she uses styling gel throughout her hair and slicks it back without a part using both her hands and a brush.
Pieper then grabs her hairspray and sprays down the front pieces before using her brush again to pull her hair back into a ponytail.

Instead of securing the ponytail, she twists her hair up into a tight bun and uses either a hair tie or bobby pins to secure her bun.
Next, the Bachelor Nation star uses her edge control product and brush to smooth back her baby hairs and lock down any flyaways in her bun.
And here comes the most fun part! She grabs her bag of mini pearls and takes out a handful.
Pieper sticks the pearls to her hair using her edge control product and places them around both her bun and the rest of her hair.
After applying the pearls, Pieper locks in the entire hairstyle with more hairspray.
Many fans flooded the comments sharing how much they love this look, with one person writing, “Hair GOALS!” and another saying, “This look is drop dead gorgeous!”
Another fan chimed in and asked Pieper a question, writing, “What’s your thoughts on tight ponytails causing some hair loss on the edges? I have the same curl type as you and love a tight bun but noticing some hair loss.”
Pieper responded, “I’m no expert on what does and doesn’t cause hair loss. From my experience, I haven’t noticed any hair loss, but I also try not to do a tight look everyday and give my hair a chance to breathe when it needs to. Give your hair nourishment, but if you like a slicked style throw it back and rock it!”
Great advice and an amazing hairstyle that would be fun to rock all summer! For another one of Pieper’s hairstyle tutorials, click here.
