Serena Pitt Shares Tips for Long-Distance Dating, Plus: An Update on Wedding Planning with Joe Amabile
Serena Pitt is answering your burning questions!
The Bachelor Nation star was one of many people delayed in the airport after the long weekend, so she took the opportunity to connect with fans.
Serena told her followers to “ask me anything,” and she spilled the tea in her answers.
Someone asked Serena if she and her fiancé Joe Amabile, who she met on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” have picked a wedding date yet.
She replied, “LOL you guys ALWAYS want to know about our wedding! Definitely the most asked question every time. Yes, we still want to have our wedding in 2023, but we haven’t started planning it at all. Things have been so busy, but I’m thinking maybe in the fall we will start the wedding planning process!”
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
How exciting!
She also shared that she and Joe are heading to Canada to spend time with her family at a lake house, and she’s “grew up going to cottages in the summers, so I’m excited to share the experience with him!”
And while Joe and Serena are living together in New York, they still travel a lot and spend time apart.
So she answered a fan who asked if she had any tips for long-distance relationships.
Serena said, “I have two main tips. 1) Communicate. Call or FaceTime. If something isn’t working, talk about ways to make adjustments. Over communicating when you aren’t in the same place really does help. 2) Planning. Plan dates or things to look forward to when you are together. Plan phone calls/FaceTimes if you have different schedules. Plan when you are going to see each other next.”
Those are some great tips, and clearly they have been working for Joe and Serena!
Serena also answered a fan who asked if it’s weird being recognized by Bachelor Nation fans in public.
She said, “It definitely took some getting used to in the beginning just because it was a big change. When I came off ‘The Bachelor,’ Ontario was still in lockdown, so I didn’t start getting recognized much until ‘Paradise’ aired and the COVID restrictions loosened up. It wouldn’t necessarily feel weird because I was very aware I was sharing my life on TV with people, it would more so just catch me by surprise because I was never expecting anyone to recognize me.”
Serena continued on, saying, “Now, a year later, I’m more used to it. Getting recognized has never really bothered me because most people are really kind and respectful when they come up and say hi, which makes it a fun experience getting to meet people who watched my journey!”
So sweet!
We love how open and honest Serena continues to be, and we can’t wait for her and Joe to tie the knot, hopefully next year!
