Jordan V. Discusses Being Sent Home and How He Went on ‘The Bachelorette’ for Rachel
Jordan V. is talking it out!
Fans met Jordan V. on Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
After receiving Rachel’s first one-on-one date card and enjoying a fun-filled day together, Rachel shocked Bachelor Nation and sent Jordan V. home.
Now, Jordan V. is stopping by the “Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation” podcast to discuss their one-on-one date and whether he would’ve been interested in pursuing a relationship with Gabby.
Co-hosts Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo asked Jordan V. the question on many fans’ minds: Would he have wanted a chance to get to know Gabby after Rachel sent him home?
Jordan V. said, “I went into the experience knowing I was interested in Rachel. Gabby is a great girl and there were a lot of things I wanted to talk to her about, like her relationship with her grandfather. I can relate to that very much so. I could’ve related to Gabby in some ways; I just really went in for Rachel and I was going to give all my effort to her.”

And he doesn’t have any hard feelings about Rachel sending him home after their date.
He said, “At the end of the day, she didn’t feel the connection she was looking for and that’s okay. There is someone out there for everybody. It just turns out that I wasn’t her person, so hopefully she does find her person this season.”
Mike and Bryan asked Jordan V. if he noticed anything that went wrong when he looks back on the one-on-one date now.
Jordan V. explained, “The day went great, honestly. Conversation was flowing and we were having a great time getting to know each other. I think we had a lot in common, so we had a lot to talk about right from the start and we would dive into those topics. We got past those initial similarities and tried to see if there was a love connection. I definitely felt there was something, and I think she felt something too, but at the end of the day it wasn’t enough. She may have already started connections with other guys.”
He went on, “She’s looking for a husband and our connection just wasn’t quite measuring up to what Rachel was looking for. She was right in that decision. She has to do what’s best for her. It’s her journey — I just was lucky to play a little part in it.”

And Jordan V. shared that Rachel sending him home actually made him respect her even more.
He told Bryan and Mike, “I’ve thought about if she would’ve kept me if my feelings would’ve gotten stronger. Like, if she knew something was missing, but still decided to keep me, would that be doing me a disservice? I respect her for just being honest with herself and for being honest with me.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued, adding, “If I had stuck around a little longer, do I think we could’ve built on the connection we had? Possibly. But when you know, you know, and she knew in that moment. She respected me enough to tell me the truth and let me go home.”
