Jesse Palmer Reveals His True Feelings About Logan Switching from Rachel to Gabby
Dishing on the drama.
On Gabby and Rachel’s season of “The Bachelorette,” we’ve seen our fair share of both romance and drama.
One of the biggest points of contention this season was Logan revealing that he wanted to switch sides and pursue his relationship with Gabby despite accepting multiple roses from Rachel during the season.
Now, Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, where he discussed Logan’s controversial switch.
Co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young asked Jesse what he thought about Logan’s decision when Logan came to talk to him about it on the ship.

Jesse said, “My first reaction was, ‘What are you doing? Were you not present at the last Rose Ceremony? You knew how this was structured where if you accept a rose, then you are expected to commit to that relationship and follow that journey in its entirety.’ Talking with Logan, though, at first I thought he was just wishy-washy, but the more we talked and I could see the emotion, he did seem like he really was conflicted.”
Jesse went on, saying, “He had these feelings for Gabby and wanted to be truthful to himself. I think he was always very aware that his decision was going to be an unpopular one. He was aware there would be consequences for it, but I don’t think he fully grasped how it would send shockwaves and ripples through the group. It wasn’t just affecting him and Rachel, it affected the guys that were dating Rachel and the guys that were dating Gabby.”
The Bachelor Nation host also shared that he wasn’t sure how Gabby and Rachel would react to Logan’s decision.
Jesse said, “Because he had been intimate with Gabby earlier in the journey at the first group date, I knew that Gabby was interested in him at one point. I wasn’t sure that she was going to totally close the door after that conversation and I also wasn’t sure how Gabby would take the news after having a conversation with Rachel.”
And at the end of the day, Jesse said he respected how Rachel and Gabby handled the situation most of all.

He said, “I thought it was pretty telling about their friendship that Rachel said not to shut the door on it if Gabby thinks she might like him and wanted to give her that opportunity. For her to give Gabby that space was very strong of her. He took a huge risk, and it was obviously very unpopular and he’s been criticized in a lot of ways, rightfully so.”
Michelle and Becca asked Jesse if he thought Logan was having these thoughts about switching sides for a while before bringing them to Rachel’s attention.
Jesse said, “I think he was conflicted personally, but the only person who knows truly is Logan. Logan was one of the few if not the only guy that got time with both Gabby and Rachel and kissed both of them. He was the only one that had that perspective.”
He went on, adding, “I don’t think at that Rose Ceremony when he accepted Rachel’s rose that he was 100% one way or the other. I think after accepting the rose from Rachel, he realized he still had feelings for Gabby. There were moments where he wanted to talk to Rachel and have those discussions earlier but didn’t get the chance.”
