‘Made By…’: Nicole Lopez-Alvar’s Secret Recipe for Her Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

This month’s recipe is “Made By…” Bachelor Nation star and recipe queen Nicole Lopez-Alvar.
The fan favorite joins us exclusively to share her recipe for her famous chocolate chip cookies, which have had the internet buzzing.

½ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
4 oz. Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips (the splurge is so worth it!)
4 oz. Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Premium Baking Chips (or, if you must, any dark chocolate chips or chunks)
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup melted unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, and butter until there are no lumps. Then, whisk in the vanilla and egg, beating until it’s perfectly mixed together. Next, pour in the flour and baking soda, and mix it all with a spatula (but don’t overdo it).
Now, for literally the best part EVER, fold in the milk chocolate chips and then the dark chocolate chips or chunks. You’re allowed to try the cookie dough at this point (but let’s pretend I never mentioned this for safety reasons — lol).
Now, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop the dough with a spoon onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving at least a couple of inches of space between the cookies so the cookies spread evenly.
Bake the cookies for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the edges have started to barely brown. Enjoy!
